Banning's Theme
Words:Susan Landerman
Tune:Whisky in the Jar (Baby Vampire Boogie)
Well, I love to adventure, and I do it very often,
Though some days I wish I hadn't got out of my coffin.
For when it comes to flying down those dungeon corridors,
I find out that the monsters are the least of all the horrors...
Chorus:
With a splat of leather wings!
I am a fly-by-night, I am a fly-by-night,
And I run into walls!
Despite what some folks take me for, it's good deeds that I do,
But every effort lately seems it's fated to fall through.
I tried to save the maiden from the rapist in the hall,
But smacked into the doorway that turned out to be a wall!
Chorus:
One day I found a floor design beneath a floating table.
It looked so intriguing, and I reckoned I was able
To figure out the locking of that treasure-guarding door...
I touched the seal, the table dropped, and made me kiss the floor!
Chorus:
Once I fell in a pit-trap, and I set the spikes a-flyin'...
That was bad enough, but I didn't know I'd soon be dyin'!
The next room that I entered really got me into trouble.
The mage was pissed, the room went BOOM! -- and I'm buried under rubble!
Chorus:
I've been in a barbarian's bod, and stuck inside a sword,
'Cause nasty things keep happing, to make sure I'm not bored!
I'm getting sick of walls and traps! Yes I'm a battered bat!
I think I'll fly on out, and not come back again to ... SPLAT!
Chorus:
